The Silver & Gold Record, a newspaper for University of Colorado system faculty and staff, was informed Friday morning that the CU president's office was closing down the paper. The decision came, according to Silver & Gold staff, because of the ever-tightening budget.
It's Denver's largest playground. Cherry Creek State Park, one of Colorado's many state parks, comprises 42 acres surrounding the 880 surface-acre Cherry Creek Reservoir. According to Patty Caudell, the park's administrative assistant, the park offers complete outdoor recreation facilities, including cross-country skiing, horseback-riding, hiking, fishing and camping.
Here at the Advocate, we know that Friday evening shows and weekend matinees at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts don't typically appear on the agenda of most college students. Not because we don't believe college students to have a fine taste in art, but because tickets to these things can run $50-$60 a pop.
